Biography

 

Born Cameroun, Maurel Endong began his singing studies with Jacques-Greg Belobo in Douala before to join the Marseille Music Conservatory with Magali Damonte.

He was awarded the 2nd Price at the International Singing Competition Arles in 2024 and the 3rd Price in Opéra at the Africa Lyrical Voices International Singing Competition in Paris in 2022.

 

He has performed numerous bass solo in concert in Douala, Beethoven’s 9 Symphony, Mozart’s Requiem, Coronation’s Mass, Dvorak’s Mass in D, Puccini’s Messa di Gloria, Verdi’s Requiem, Haendel’s Messiah, Fauré’s Requiem in Marseille, and Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle in Aix-en-Provence.

More recently, he has sung Count Ribbing (Un Ballo in Maschera) at the Marseille Opera.
