Biographie

Antonel Boldan, a native from Romania, first completed a Master in psychology at the University of Babes-Bolyai in Cluj Napoca (Romania), before deciding to fully dedicate himself to his passion of song and performance.

He won a song and lyric art award in 2007 for his  interpretation of Don Ottavio (Don Giovanni) at the National Opera in Cluj Napoca.

He was most notably winning the Arte Concert Audience Award in the Armel Opera Competition in Budapest 2018.

He joined the Brasov Opera troupe in Romania as a soloist. He has interpreted the roles of Arlecchino (Pagliacci) , Arturo (Lucia di Lammermoor), Lord Eduard Zedlau (Wiener Blut), and Alfredo (La Traviata).

In France, he performed : Tamino (The Magic Flute) in Lille and in Marseille (La Fabrique Opéra production, Orchestra of the Provence Méditerranée Philharmonic in co-production with the Opera of Marseille), Nemorino (L 'Elisir d'Amore) in Neuilly sur Seine, Don José (Carmen) in Toulouse, with the company Roulotte Opera, then in Levallois with the Maurice Ravel Symphony Orchestra, and in Lyon with the Lyon Villeurbanne Symphony Orchestra, Romeo (Romeo and Juliet) at the Montmorillon Festival, Alfredo (La Traviata) in Paris. 

More recently he has sung  Parpignol (La Bohème) at the Opera de Paris under Gustavo Dudamel's baton, directed by Claus Guth, he has also just returned to the role of Don José (Carmen) in Besançon Festival, Don Ottavio (Don Giovanni) at the National Theater of Algiers, with the Algerian National Symphonic Orchestra,  Rodolfo (La Bohème) in Jerusalem and Beer Sheva, with the Sinfonietta Orchestra Beer Sheva ,  Tamino (The Magic Flute) at the Jersey Opera House, with the Szeged Symphony Orchestra (Production Armel Opera), Pera Tocilov in a modern opera in Novi Sad Opera in Serbia and in MÜPA - Budapest part of Armel Opera Festival 2018. This production won the Arte Concert Audience , Pinkerton (Madama Butterfly) at the Clermont Auvergne Lyric Center and the Clermont-Ferrand Opera.
